This years Family Fellowship Event is dinner and a dance for the entire family. We will gather at New Heights Chapel Sunday April 13th for fun and fellowship. We will have someone teaching some line dancing and maybe even a little swing. This is a family friendly environment and it doesn’t matter if you know how to dance or not. Dinner will be served and we will have games and other activities for those who aren’t wanting to dance. We are excited to enjoy this evening with your families and try something new together.

We are talking to someone about providing a live band and caller for the dancing but don’t have all of those details worked out yet so we will keep you posted but with or without live music we will have a great time.

I am sending out an email reminder that this date has changed. Our oldest son, Ethan, is graduating from his military training in Oklahoma on Thursday April 3rd so we will need to travel on the 2nd to be there. I am sorry to change things up and hope your teens can still join us for this event.

We will gather at New Heights Chapel to bake, decorate and package goodies and deliver them to our local police and fire stations. We will also enjoy some games and dinner together. These events are for any teens, age 13 and up in your foster homes. We are looking forward to enjoying this afternoon and evening together.

If you are not able to get your teen there by 4:00 please bring them whenever you can. Call or text Anna Morgan when you are on the way so we can let you know where we are, in case we are out delivering. Also, if you would like to carpool or have your child picked up please let us know and we will see what we can do. We cannot guarantee that we can get a ride for every child but we will certainly do our best for those who are unable to get their teen to the event.

There will be opportunities for them to share experiences in a safe environment with mentors present and to encourage one another as we grow together. Each event will have male and female adult leaders in attendance to supervise and the rules will be the same as they are at Parents’ night out in order to keep kids and staff safe.

Bridge Family Ministries is partnering with Fortified Fitness in Murfreesboro to bring you a evening of fun and challenge for all the youth in your home age 13 and up. We are excited about this activity and think your teens will have a great time.

This event will be able to accomodate the first thirty teens who register using the registration form below. If we have more than 30 we will add you to the wait list and see if we can get space for more kids.

There will NOT be food at this event so please have your kids eat dinner before they come. We will have bottled water for everyone.

Big news for 2025 - We are kicking off our monthly teen fellowship activities. We desire to encourage community amongst the teens while offering mentorship and encouragement from staff and leaders. We are beginning this program with a game night at Emma York’s home. Emma became our first ministry intern last fall and we couldn’t be more excited to have her. She is such a gift to the ministry and to all of the kids in particular. Each event will have male and female adult leaders in attendance to supervise and the rules will be the same as they are at Parents’ night out in order to keep kids and staff safe.

For this first event we will serve Taco Soup and play games.

WOW!!! It’s 2025 and time to kick off another incredible year of foster family fun and fellowship. We are excited that you are a part of our program and can’t wait to get to know your family better through these events.

Since 2024, ETC Gymnastics has kicked off our year with an incredible foster parents’ night out at the gym. This event is a highlight of the year for many of our youth and we hope your kids will be there.

Yes, the time listed for this event is correct!! I know, it’s amazing. Plan to arrive at 6:15pm, Bridge Family Ministries will provide pizza and drinks for all of the children and then ETC will take over with the entertainment. Bridge Volunteers will be on site all evening to help but ETC will be running the show and they do an absolutely incredible job.

This event is for limited ages and does have a cap on how many can attend so be sure to get your registration in as soon as you can.

Age 2-4 must be potty trained, they can take 24 of this age group. You can leave them for the entire event or you can pick them up and get them home to bed.

Age 5 - 15, these young people will be divided into groups and will move through the evenings activities with their coaches. We can register 120 youth for this age group.

We are hosting our first ever Fundraising Dinner on December 13th from 6:00 - 8:30

The ministry is growing and we are thrilled to be able to increase our support to more families and in more ways but that also means we have to increase our support. This fundraiser will go a long way toward fiscally supporting the ministry in 2025.

We are Kicking off the new teen program with a Christmas party fellowship.

This event will be hosted by our new Intern, Emma York, at her home.

We will have chili for dinner, please bring a side dish to serve with dinner. We plan to decorate cookies and do a white elephant gift exchange. Each teen should bring one wrapped gift without a label, valued $20 or less. It does not have to cost $20 but we are asking that gifts no be more than that.

As with all of our events this is for all of the teens in your home, foster, bio, adopted. We are excited to begin this new chapter in the life of Bridge Family Ministries.

Some of these events will be geared toward fellowship, some will have a life skills training aspect, and some will be service projects to give the teens an opportunity to serve in the community.

Stars and Strikes in Smyrna is once again, generously, hosting the DCS Christmas party for all Mid Cumberland and Davidson County foster families. Make sure to register using the button below so we know how to prepare. Each child will be given an arcade card to play games(no tickets will be earned), bumper cars, laser tag, and bowling so they can enjoy these activities as much as they wish. Pizza and drinks will be served and each child will have the opportunity to visit with Santa, and then receive gifts. This event is for all the children, of all ages in your home. Whether they are foster, adopted, kinship, or biological, all are invited.

We are thankful for the community partners who love to serve your families.

When you register please let us know how many adults and children will attend with you, children’s age, and gender and which county you are in. If there are changes to your household between now and this party please edit your registration and let us know that you made a change so we can be sure to make the change on our end as well.

The Foster care family parade is in Nashville again this year following this Christmas party so watch for the sign up information on that and make sure you get your family registered to attend that event as well. It’s going to be a great day.

The shepherds closet is hosting their LAST open shop of the YEAR this coming Saturday November 16th.

The winter clothes are out and lots of new things have come in. Get this on your calendar and make sure to drop by and get what your kids need for fall/winter. There will not be an open shop in December so the next one will be sometime in January.

Please remember to bring bags to carry your new belongings to your car. There are push carts at the unit if others aren’t already using them but they are limited.

Smyrna Skate Center is excited to host your families again.

We are grateful to Smyrna Skate Center for their partnership with us. They are excited to treat your families to an evening of skating, slice of pizza and a drink. If you have special dietary needs you are welcome to bring something. Each participant will receive a ticket for a free piece of pizza and a drink. You are welcome to purchase more if you wish.

Bring the whole family for this time of fellowship. Since this is a family event we will not have the number of volunteers that we have at our parents’ night out events. There does need to be an adult present with each family. Our hope is that these events give you an opportunity to get to know one another and build relationships with other families who are doing the same incredible work. We are thankful for each and every one of you and know from our own experiences how important it is to have fellowship with others who, “get it”.

That said, we will have some volunteers to help with your kids because we do want you to be able to enjoy the evening. If you know that a helper would be good for your family please let us know in the message section of the registration form and we will provide one.

We will also have some toys and coloring activities for those who don’t skate or grow tired of skating before the rest of the family.

It’s time for our summer fun water party!! Bring the whole family for this time of fellowship.

This event is for the entire family. Bring a side dish or dessert, if you are able, to be served with the hot dogs. We will provide hot dogs and buns and some sides. If you are not able to bring a side please join us anyway. There will be plenty for all.

We are planning all kinds of water activities. Bring your bathing suit or clothes you don’t mind getting wet, towels, and probably a change of clothes for the ride home. Parents please plan to stay for this event and join in the fun with your kiddos. We will have volunteers joining us to help out but not enough to run the event like a parents night out. We hope you will get an opportunity to meet other foster families and begin to build relationships.

We have a very small backyard farm and hope you will join us for a foster family fellowship at the farm. Bring the kids to hold baby chicks, play with the rabbits, pet the goats, and whatever else we have by then. We are hoping the mama rabbits will have some babies that are big enough to hold by then and we may have some baby kittens as well.

We will have some active games planned, the playground is waiting, we are planning spring cookies to decorate and enjoy as well as hot dogs to roast over the fire.

We are excited to again be partnering with, The Experience Church for Parents’ Night Out in March. They are excited to spend the evening with your children. There is a liability waiver that is specific to events at their church that they need everyone to sign. When you register your children we will email the form to you so you can fill it out and bring it with you when you drop off your kids. We will have copies there at the event that you can fill out if you haven’t had a chance to get it done beforehand.
